Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to complement our strong, mutually supportive existing staff and assist in managing the operations of a rapidly growing tax practice.RESPONSIBILITIES* Build relationships and interact with staff to train in tax and tax planning areas.* Review income tax returns* Identify and mitigate tax risks* Manage tax provision and tax compliance process* Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices* Assist with staff relations and internal controls* Manage staff workflowSKILLS* Proven work experience as a tax manager* Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns* Knowledge of ProSeries tax software, QuickBooks, and M.S. Office* Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems* Strong leadership and personnel management skills* Professional verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to multi-task, manage, and prioritize frequently changing situations without losing efficiency or composure.* Analytical skills with detail orientation* Assist staff with client projects as assigned* Direct team on tax, accounting project* Train and develop tax staffQUALIFICATIONS* B.S. in Accounting or M.A. in Taxation* 3+ years of public accounting experience with a concentration in small business and individual taxation* C.P.A.
