Statement of the Job:
Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Director
of Admissions oversees the implementation of recruitment strategies
designed to increase enrollment. The Director of Admissions is
responsible for managing activities, and events directly related to
increasing enrollment. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense
of data integrity, is an experienced admissions professional, and
has the knowledge to retain and increase student enrollment. The
Director of Admissions will lead a collaborative effort to develop
and implement both short-term and long-term strategies to ensure
Bourgade Catholic meets enrollment expectations.
The Director of Admissions strives to achieve the goals of Catholic
education; shows evidence of knowledge of the Catholic philosophy
of education; promotes gospel values and Catholic moral teaching;
upholds the doctrinal teachings of the Catholic Church; provides
opportunities for students to be prepared for life in today's
Church and society.
Duties of the Job:
- Works with the Development Director to market school and to
reach established enrollment goals. Oversees the scheduling of
shadow days; attends middle school and high school enrollment
events; and provides outreach to partner schools as required.
- Oversees admissions, enrollment, and marketing events held both
on and off campus. (Will include some weekend and evening
responsibilities)
- Coordinates annual High School Placement Test administration.
Duties may include: managing sign-ups and payments; collecting and
reviewing testing materials; event preparation for testing day;
managing testing day activities; packaging and mailing score
sheets; reviewing, analyzing, and distributing score reports;
consulting with administration on test data interpretation.
- Accepts and reviews applications for admission; strategically
manages admissions database; enters data into Renweb; coordinates
paperwork and payment processing with finance office; maintains
files on all applicants.
- Communicates with prospective families in person, over the
phone, via website, and/or email; explains application and
admissions process; conducts timely and strategic follow-up with
prospective families; answers questions regarding curriculum,
school activities and sports, opportunities for spiritual growth,
etc.
- Provides campus tours to individuals, families, and
groups.
- Manages incoming freshman and transfer student interview
processes.
- Manages annual incoming student and parent surveys; extracts
and interprets survey data; prepares data reports for relevant
stakeholders.
- Prepares and sends regular emails to incoming and current
freshman families preparing them for the steps involved in the
application process, admissions, registration, and transition to
high school.
- Maintains a relentless commitment to educating and supporting
families throughout the application process from start to
finish.
- Oversees the school's Ambassador program
- Student Records
- Obtain and maintain a variety of student records such as
grades, standardized test scores, transcripts, immunization
records, and cumulative folders.
- Communicate with other schools or outside agencies regarding
student records.
- Facilitates records requests and procurement for transfer
students.
- Coordinate incoming freshmen admissions records and
materials

- Perform clerical duties as needed or assigned by the Director
of Development.
- Contribute to team effort for a professional office environment
and maintain good working relationships with all school staff.
- Have knowledge of technology and use appropriate software as
needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned for emergency
procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal or
Director of Development.
Position requires knowledge of:
- Curriculum and graduation requirements.
- Operation of a computer and assigned software.
- Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Basic statistical and record-keeping techniques.
- Data entry and report generation.
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and
vocabulary.
- Diocesan and school policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Catholic Church vision, teachings, structure and
policies Position requires ability to:
- Prepare responsible and comprehensive work in maintaining
accurate records and admitting students according to established
procedures and policies.
- Interpret, apply and explain provisions of Federal, State and
Diocesan regulations related to admissions and records.
- Independently plan and organize workload and calendar.
- Work independently with little direction.
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of
action.
- Maintain records and prepare reports.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Meet schedules and timelines.
- Spanish speaker strongly preferred.
