OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES



  • Work closely with Correspondence Lead to route internal packages to offices and staff.


  • Provide timely support of external correspondence packages, ensuring appropriate workflows, concurrences, and appropriate edits are completed.


  • Assist the Correspondence Lead with developing processes and controls for correspondence-related tasks.


  • Respond to inquiries from the public or customers.


  • Perform routine clerical duties, maintain records, collect data, and provide information to customers.


  • File and maintain paper or electronic records.


  • Check the organization's records and type response letters for their supervisors to sign.


  • Collect and record data from customers, staff, and the public.


  • Answer questions from Stakeholders and the public about products or services.


    REQUIREMENTS


    • Bachelor's degree required


    • 3-5 years of administrative support work experience required.


    • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


    • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.


    • DOE experience preferred.


    • Clean Energy experience desired but not required.


    • Remote position on eastern time zone.


      WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
      Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.--- Work is mostly sedentary in nature but will require periodic standing and walking and lifting.--- Must have good vision and be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.---
