Job Description:

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Family Practice - Position Summary
This position evaluates and treats children, adolescents and adult in an outpatient setting. 90% of time is dedicated to the health center program.

Responsibilities Include:
Provide evaluation, diagnostic and therapeutic services for the community health center.
Provide consultations to medical and behavioral health practitioners.
Supervise ancillary medical services.
Confer with patients family or representative regarding illness and treatment.
Consult with medical specialist, psychologists, mental health professionals, social workers and others in community agencies regarding the primary medical care aspects of patient care.
Assist with the development and implementation of medical and related protocols, programs and-or policies.
Provide supervision and-or peer review and ongoing education to other professional staff members as requested by the Chief Medical Officer.
Suggest and-or participate in training or other related educational and informational forums to address physical health conditions.
Oversees the work of any students or residents assigned for training.
Participate in initial and annual orientation and trainings as required.

Qualifications Required:
Board Certification
MD or Osteopath with 5 years of related experience and 2 years supervisory experience.
Must be privileged through the HHW, Inc. privileging process.
Ability to verbally communicate with patients and staff, and document communications effectively.
Demonstrated competence as evidenced by no disciplinary or performance problems with the past two (2) years.
Knowledgeable with current medications and side effects.
Shall demonstrate competence in gathering and interpreting information about medical disorders and substance abuse.

Other Certifications-Licenses not included above:

Proof of current DEA Certification.
Controlled Substance Prescription Monitoring Program (CSPMP) registered.
Proof of current certification in CPR.

Qualifications Preferred:
Bilingual: English-Spanish
