This role offers the following Work Appropriately strategy:
Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site
full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables
them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed
or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 3 times
per week.
Locations: Warren, MI; Austin, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Atlanta, GA
Key responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a technical background with the
ability to perform Technical Feasibility, Sponsoring Proof of
Concepts, Design Test and Learn, Backlog Grooming, Integration with
Technical Teams, Launch Readiness, System Performance and Usage
Analysis. The candidate will also engage with engineering and
business leadership on the IT solution, product roadmap(s) and
technology capabilities. This role requires the ability to drive
the Agile process within IT as well as support the broader Line of
Business team within the product development and delivery
framework. The candidate will be expected to expertly:
* Establish and own product area objectives and key results (OKR's)
and build plans that deliver on those results
* Effectively work and partner with customers, stakeholders, and
engineering teams to deliver large or significant features
successfully
* Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all audiences
- capturing customer needs through well-defined Epics and Features
to build world class experiences
* Influence technical priorities and business strategy by using
quantitative and qualitative data
* Proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of
your team and/or stakeholders with plan for mitigation before they
become roadblocks
* Display a proven track record to communicate complicated concepts
clearly and present to all levels of the organization
* Utilize Azure DevOps tool to author roadmaps, epics, features,
and other strategic documentation
* Use Agile practices to prioritize and lead the product backlog
across all enterprise needs to drive efficient development
activities
* Establish success metrics for product performance and maintain
tracking mechanisms for those metrics
* Anticipate and resolve strategic issues that may impair the
product/tech team's ability to deliver
* Manage prioritization and trade-offs of a product roadmap to
ensure delivery of a great Selling Partner experience
* Actively participate in the mentorship of others
* Collaborate with business partners
* Communicate and influence other organizations without a direct
reporting relationship
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required
* 3+ years of end-to-end Product Management experience: Roadmap
strategy, roadmap definition, prioritization, and delivery.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* An obsessive focus on customer feedback and pain points with an
inclination to look deeply under the hood
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or equivalent experience
* Previous product management experience
* Previous experience building systems for automotive
dealerships
* Experience with AB Testing, E-commerce or Frontend Consumer
Applications
* Passion to build, think big, discern impact, while having high
attention to details
* Ability to dive deep into data, technical systems, and customer
feedback with equal passion
* Ability to understand and explain complex technical issues and
communicate these to both technical and non-technical partner teams
to drive resolution
Ability to work and collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders
in different teams/ organizations/locales and inspire action in
others, with or without a direct reporting line
