ideal candidate is a technically knowledgeable seller-doer with
strong inter-personal communication skills and the ability to build
client trust and rapport. The ideal candidate will be high-energy

interpret technical and analytical data and present it in a clear

- Guide the NEPA planning process and oversee all aspects of a
project, including client contact, budget control and invoicing,
schedule, personnel allocation/planning, public interest
facilitation, technical approach, and subcontractor
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory/resource agencies, local
- Manage technical studies and ecological resource teams with
assessments and various natural resource surveys.
- Lead the preparation of NEPA documentation including
environmental impact statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments
(EAs), Categorical Exclusions (CEs).
- Provide quality assurance and quality control for final
products to ensure technical accurateness and regulatory
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and other marketing
endeavors.QualificationsThe Ideal Candidate Will Possess The
- Bachelor's degree in natural resources, environmental science,
geology, soil science, or related field.
- A minimum of ten (10) years' experience with, and demonstrated
expertise in, environmental permitting projects, including National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404,
Endangered Species Act (ESA), etc. Experience with permitting
processes specific to western states a plus.
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience managing projects with
ever increasing complexity.
- Experience in mining or power transmission/distribution
projects a plus.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with a
range of diverse clients and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to complete complex projects in a
cost-effective and time-efficient manner.
- Ability to lead projects and project teams.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Exemplary communication skills (written and oral).NV5 offers a
