The Lab Manager will be responsible for managing our laboratory staff, project management, ordering supplies and equipment, maintaining lab inventory, maintaining lab equipment, conducting research, preparing analytical reports, scheduling staff, training staff, managing biosafety and chemical safety protocols, managing laboratory duties, managing laboratory databases, and performing other general clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, receiving/shipping packages, collection of mail, and other day-to-day operations.The University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix anchors the 28-acre Phoenix Bioscience Core in the heart of the Valley of the Sun.   • Manage administrative work for Tim Marlowe's laboratory operations at College of Medicine-Phoenix.
  • Project management including managing milestones for multiple projects, regular meetings with laboratory staff to ensure project completion, project organization, and coordination with collaborating groups and/or CROs.
  • Communication with laboratory staff, vendors for lab supplies and equipment, core facilities, and collaborating partners.
  • Manage lab equipment, lab training, biosafety and chemical safety protocols, lab duties, and lab operation.
  • Planning and design of experimental procedures for drug developmentprojects.
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining inventory,and maintaining records management database systems.
  • Regular follow up with vendors for shipping information and order information.
  • Implement SOPs protocols and supervising administrative functions forlaboratory staff.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments in cell biology, drug screening,biochemistry, and peptide chemistry as required.
  • Manage all administrative software programs for laboratory operations,including excel spreadsheets, google suite, basic adobe, and invoicing.
  • Working directly with the leadership team of the lab to help grow and improvethe therapeutic/diagnostic portfolio.
  • Assist cross-functionally with marketing and sales initiatives, humanresources, hiring, and employee onboarding.
  • Schedule meetings for company executives and laboratory staff.
  • Create and distribute reports, memos, letters and other documents using relevantcomputer softwareMinimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor'sDegree and 3 years; OR
    • Associates Degree and 5 years; OR
    • High School Diploma and 7 years related experience Preferred Qualifications--- Prior laboratory managerial experience (1-2 years) is strongly preferred.
