State employees are highly engaged, collaborative and embrace a culture of public service. RECRUITMENT MANAGER (HUMAN RESOURCES SUPERVISOR) Human Resources and Development Group 1831 W. Jefferson Phoenix, AZ 85007 JOB SUMMARY: APPLY AT: The Arizona Department of Corrections (ADCRR) is seeking a qualified individual to manage and oversee all recruitment activities, to process and hire Correctional Officers statewide through direct supervision of recruitment staff at Central Office, the recruitment center in Tucson at Correctional Officer Training Academy (COTA), and direct supervision of the Satellite Recruitment Center's (SRC) located throughout the state. JOB DUTIES: --- Manages recruitment staff at Central Office to include providing direction, leadership, mentoring, and coaching. --- Oversees applicant testing procedures, to ensure we are meeting the recruitment goals. --- Ensures monthly visits to high schools and post-secondary educational facilities are being conducted --- Oversees recruitment processing to include new hires and rehires --- Indirectly manage Satellite Recruitment Centers (SRC) to include conducting on-site visits monthly and to maintain a professional proactive team. --- Oversees and monitor the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to include the Correctional Officer Vacancy Report, Job Fair Report, applicant cont r act, applicants tested (passed/failed), no shows, and job offers made --- Schedules and attend meetings necessary to produce expected results --- Meets Correctional Officer hiring recruitment goals --- Develops initiatives for attracting applicants --- Identify needs and develop action plans --- Drives on state business --- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR(S) - THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED: Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Knowledge of: --- Arizona Revised Statutes, Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules and ADCRR policies and procedures --- State and Nation Workforce trends --- POST rules --- Principles and practices of supervision --- Creations and presentation of reports and plans --- Sound correctional practices and general office practices --- Principles and practices of current recruiting and hiring practices Skill in: --- Verbal and written communications --- Public speaking --- Personal Computer, related peripheral equipment, and various software programs --- Time management, multitasking, prioritizing, and organization --- Project Management --- Data gathering and statistical analyst Ability to: --- Lead and manage of work team --- Goal setting and prioritization --- Work collaboratively with internal and external entities --- Effectively supervise --- Identify problems and develop effective solutions --- Work independently with minimal supervision SELECTIVE PREFERENCE(S) - IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS: --- Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience and supervision with the Arizona Department of Corrections in the security series PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.
