Job Description Production Director Job Description Overview The
Production Director provides Christ-centered leadership, oversight
and supervision of all audiovisual (AVL) ministries of NPHX. The
Production Director recruits, trains, equips and directly
supervises volunteers in all areas of responsibility. The
Production Director also oversees all creative elements for worship
services. The ministry area includes, but is not limited to,
weekend worship services along with weekend/weekday ministry,
campuses, and community partner events (outside events). The
Production Director will report and work with the Worship Pastor to
ensure all needs are met. The Production Director will oversee:
Audiovisual Associates & Volunteers Responsibilities : Provide
oversight for sound and lighting for weekend services and special
events. Managers in service flow of all AVL equipment Ensure all
technical components of weekend services are well planned and
executed including, but not limited to, sound, lighting, and
volunteers scheduled as needed. Overseeing technical rehearsals and
scheduling/ heading up weekly meetings to discuss Sunday Service
adjustments and corrections Schedule volunteers, staff, and
contracting staff as needed to fill positions for weekend services
and to support other events. Team recruitment, oversight and
development. Recruit new volunteer team members and regularly train
them in the different areas of service within the ministry.
Disciple team members. Equipment maintenance, upgrade and
compatibility Maintain all sound, lighting, and AVL equipment on
all campuses, while assisting campus pastors with training of
volunteers. Train and empower AVL volunteers at all satellite
campuses to assist in planning, design, installation of sound,
lighting, AVL upgrades, and new equipment throughout the campuses.
Oversee Video Department and its collaboration with the IT and
Communication Department, in order to enhance the team's
capabilities with new ideas and technology. Other Participate in
all meetings with the Worship Team. Lead all Production Team
meetings Partner with ministries and events to assist with
technical needs for their special events. Partner with the Worship
Team to plan and execute new stage designs. Responsible for
managing the annual Ministry---s budget alongside Worship Pastor.
All other duties as may be assigned by the Worship Pastor. Have and
maintain a strong and personal relationship with Christ Specific
Skills, Gifts, Talents Needed: Church experience is required STRONG
MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP: Leader, big-picture planner, ministry
partner, team coach and motivator. Lead and manage staff and
volunteers to implement creative & engaging worship environment.
COACHING/TRAINING: ---Educate people about use of equipment,
procedures and technical advances in the industry. Meet them where
they are in their level of understanding and help them come to know
what we do and why we do it and how they can contribute to the
overall experience at NPHX. COMMUNICATION: S---trong communication
with all internal and external team members and departments.
ORGANIZATIONAL/PLANNING: ---Understand vision cast by leadership
and execute vision of Senior Pastor and Worship Pastor for
services. RELATIONAL: Ability to take direct initiatives from
leadership and place into motion with team of staff and volunteers.
Connect with ministries on a personal face-to-face and regular
basis to understand their ministries--- needs and wants. DESIGN:
---Vast knowledge of stage design and production elements that can
be used in multiple environments to create cohesiveness throughout
all campuses and ministries.
