  • Investigate, report, track and manage outcomes of claims for workers compensation, property damage, company auto, and general liability insurance.
  • Conduct initial intake on claims to ensure all pertinent information is included. Track information or route to carriers as needed.
  • Investigate employee injury/illness, third party accidents, auto, and property damage claims. Work with Safety Manager to recommend remedial actions.
  • Interact with claims adjusters, doctors, nurses, or nurse case managers for workers compensation claims to obtain information about days lost, cost of medical treatment, and return to work.
  • Complete the required wage statements on workers compensation claims per state requirements.
  • Collect and submit documents to legal counsel such as job files, pictures, personnel files and witness statements in response to subpoenas or legal proceedings.
  • Interact with utility companies on claims where utility lines were damaged.
  • Update medical/repair costs, lost time, and light duty days through insurance carrier website or spreadsheets. Generate reports for management as needed.
  • Gather data for OSHA logs annually and submit final information to branches for posting.OCIPS / WRAP-UPS
    • Process enrollment forms and insurance credit worksheets for participation in project specific wrap insurance programs, i.e. OCIP.
    • Complete Audit for hours & payroll worked on projects covered by wrap insurance programs.
    • Calculate deductions, track monthly payroll reports and prepare close out paperwork.SUBCONTRACTOR QUALIFICATION
      • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure that they maintain required general liability, auto liability, umbrella liability and workers' compensation insurance coverage. May verify contractor's licensing and/or bonding as required by contract.
      • Work with subcontractor insurance agents to address deficiencies and obtain any copies of insurance needed for files.
      • Verify the subcontractor checks, ensure the lien releases have gone to the subcontractor, and maintain lien releases on file per record retention requirements.INSURANCE CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE / CONTRACT REVIEW
        • Request Certificate of Insurance from broker and submit to customers for projects as needed.
        • Review insurance requirements and indemnification agreements on customer issued contracts and prequalification documents to determine needed modifications and / or company's ability to comply.
        • Assist Contracts Administration in negotiating contract insurance requirements and indemnification agreements / clauses.Education and Experience
          • High School Diploma and 9+ years of experience in property & casualty insurance client management, commercial claims, construction risk management administration or related field(s)
          • Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) plus 5-7 years related experience in property & casualty insurance client management, commercial claims, construction risk management administration or related field(s).
            • Field of Study: Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Accounting, Paralegal or related.
            • Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) preferred plus 3-5 years related experience in property & casualty insurance client management, commercial claims, construction risk management administration or related field(s).
              • Field of Study: Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Accounting, Paralegal or related.Certifications (one or more is highly preferred):
                • Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS)
                • Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
                • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
                • Certified Insurance Counsellor (CIC)
                  Computer Skills:
                  • Proficient in MS Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
                  • Standard company software applications and web applications.
                  • Understanding and/or use of Risk Management Information Systems.Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Valid driver's license issued in the employing state and good driving record.We offer full benefit packages to our employees including:
