About the Role:Headstand is seeking an Account Manager (or Account Director) to manage accounts, projects, budgets and teams independently and con---dently, bringing industry expertise and valued insight to the ---rm and clients. This role will serve as a primary contact for clients, providing guidance on strategies as well as managing the day-to-day tactics, and assist with new business development.
This role has more of hands-on experience with the actual operations of an account - from learning about budget management to forecasting team hours. Clients, similarly, should begin to view AMs or ADs as those responsible for both diving into the work as well as delegating out assignments to the team and ensuring all deadlines are being met - all with a focus on the larger picture.
Finally, the this role is expected to begin to take on additional of---ce-wide responsibilities outside of his/her billable time including training, team building, committee work and the like. An eagerness to learn about other capabilities across the agency and how they can be leveraged for existing clients is also expected.
Responsibilities will include

  • A minimum requirement is to oversee at least $35K in client fees per month
  • Functions as the primary support for the director
  • Writes comprehensive client and new business plan drafts, requiring only light edits by his/her director or senior team
  • E---ectively participates in new business presentations and takes an active role in developing new business for his/her respective division or practice area
  • Communicates "big picture" logistics and tactics to team
  • De---nes and adjusts strategies appropriately
  • Provides direct client counsel and is seen as a strategist by the client
  • Is capable of handling client meetings and presentations on his/her own
  • Provides framework for tracking and measuring client results; markets back to clients
  • Works alongside senior team to monitor account pro---tability
  • Provides fundamental management of junior staff
  • Writes and edits client materials
  • Conducts professional development programs for the ---rm, as appropriate
  • Actively builds ---rm visibility through association memberships and networking opportunities
  • Demonstrates burgeoning industry-speci---c expertise--About You:
    • Requires associate level years of public relations, marketing or related experience
    • Has managed budgets and supervised at least one account person
    • Exemplary follow-through and execution skills
    • Solution-minded; embraces new methodologies
    • Strong writer with excellent presentation skills
    • Thinks strategically
