Job Description:

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Review various commercial agreements and negotiate such agreements with company's suppliers and contractors, to ensure they maximize value for the company and reflect company policies and best practices.
Analyze all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
Ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines, as well as, federal, state and local laws, regulations, and codes.
Oversee contracts from conception to completion, with appropriate oversight and modifications during the life of the contract, as well as auditing and updating and maintain existing contracts.
Work with various internal departments to support the negotiations of contract terms and conditions, and ensure contracts are consistent with the company's terms, conditions, policies, and procedures.
Gain a solid understanding of Advisor Group's business to be able to effectively perform the responsibilities
Identification, assessment and management of risk-related areas in the contract negotiation and vendor relationship, to include supporting rigorous and effective risk management processes.
Subject matter expert on all contract management functions within the contract life-cycle.
Team interaction promoting positive internal and external partner relationships.
Special duties and projects as assigned.

Key Success Factors
Knowledge of terms and conditions in commercial contracts; familiarity with commercial contract law and principles; skilled at reviewing terms and conditions and identifying risk areas
Advanced writing skills in drafting contracts and contract correspondence
Best-in-class negotiation skills gained through relevant prior work experience
Assertive and strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with suppliers/contractors and business associates to include all levels of senior management; able to persuasively negotiate with suppliers/contractors while remaining positive and professional
Ability to prioritize, manage various matters concurrently, work efficiently, and meet short deadlines in a fast paced, challenging environment
Ability to learn quickly, problem solve and make persuasive arguments
Ability to maintain high standards of service and satisfaction
High integrity and ethics in all dealings
Open to learning, enthusiastic, resilient, sense of humor
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Collaborative and professional approach to building positive relationships across the organization
Proactive communication with internal and external business partners at all levels and the ability to manage through influence when needed

Qualifications

Our candidate must be a confident communicator with the level of engagement necessary to influence internal and external partners
At least 2-4 years of experience in a related area. Previous experience in corporate setting with experience reviewing and negotiating contracts preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in area of specialty or equivalent experience
Good understanding and extensive experience of contract administration processes and procedures from preparation to close out of contracts
