What you'll do:
The primary responsibilities of the Credit Administration Manager are to assist in the development and implementation of the overall strategy of Credit Administration for enhanced credit risk management, governance, operations and change management oversight processes. The Manager maintains and manages the development and execution of remediation plans and prepare compliance reports for management and oversight committees. Will collaborate with the bank's Business Units and operational/administrative departments and bank regulators in reviewing and applying regulatory guidance and regulations throughout the various Credit Administration functions. Provides leadership for process improvement and change management activities to implement or enhance industry-standard practices and controls, compliance with regulatory and other legal requirements. The Manager may direct a small team of employees, including managers and supervisors of other staff.

What we are looking for:

  • Maintains and manages all Credit Administration policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and frameworks for financial services institutions.
  • Ensures all Credit Administration policies, procedures, and processes are documented and updated according to regulatory and internal standards.
  • Manages Credit Administration governance and compliance programs and initiatives, and is responsible for ensuring first line of defense, Enterprise Risk Management, SOX, and other governance controls in Credit Administration are in place and functioning effectively.
  • Formulates management and Board reports, responses, and remediation plans, supervising the data collection and validation process.
  • Supports Credit Administration in the use of credit software and databases with respect to credit risk management processes, data and reporting.
  • Provides clear, pragmatic support and guidance with regard to the interpretation of regulatory requirement changes, and advises Credit Administration's senior and executive management about impact and recommended strategies.
  • Serves as a point of contact and provide subject matter expertise for risk management, change management, and governance for Credit Administration processes, new credit products, and new business lines.
  • Coordinates with the Business Units, PCRM, Credit Risk Review, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit/SOX, Information Technology, Information Security, Accounting, Human Resources, BSA/FCC, Security and Fraud Loss Protection, and banking regulators to facilitate Credit Administration governance and processes.
  • Provides supervision to and directs the activities of their employees; performs supervisory tasks such as performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; develops work schedules; provides necessary training and coaching.

    • Bachelor's degree from a college or university and 10 or more years of related experience in the financial services industry in a corporate setting or operating bank environment focused on credit operations, risk management, legal, and audit or compliance functions is required.
    • Advanced to Expert knowledge of general credit operations, including credit governance, loan approval processes, loan portfolio management and monitoring practices, risk rating methodology, ACL methodology, loan administration, treasury management and other commercial banking products and services.
    • Advanced to Expert knowledge of state and federal banking compliance rules and regulations, bank operational policies and practices, as well as banking regulatory agencies structures and practices.
    • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required, including the ability to communicate complex or technical issues
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills; proven ability to create momentum, foster organizational change, and work with other members of senior management.
