Position Summary

The VP- Workforce Management Consultant position is a role reporting to Internal Audit's Head of Workforce Management, Director. This position is responsible for delivering and executing global and America's workforce management strategies that will transform the end-to-end lifecycle of Internal Audit employees. This position will have direct responsibility in leading complex projects that require cross-functional engagements with leaders in each region, managing operations across the workforce lifecycle and developing effective workforce management programs and practices.

The Internal Audit Workforce Management Team partners with key internal stakeholders including Human Resources to ensure an understanding of Internal Audit's global agenda to effectively leverage/enhance/develop tools and processes that will optimize resource planning and transparency within the organization.


Position Attributes:

Travel may be required for the position, with an estimated range of 10-20% (international as required).

Key Accountabilities:

Continue to enhance and oversee the overall day-to-day management and advancement of the global workforce management initiatives that help develop and retain a high performing and skilled workforce. Activities may include:

  • Partner with Internal Audit's Professional Practices organization in managing the workforce capacity planning tool and process; develop and manage appropriate annual hiring plans, inclusive of co-source needs, and ensure management to headcount and budget
  • Manage and enhance annual skills assessment process and determine/develop appropriate solutions (e.g., technical training, rotation programs) to enhance workforce capability
  • Develop and manage workforce programs that enable employee mobility and career progression
  • Develop, implement, and maintain department on-boarding, off-boarding, real estate, employee engagement, and culture governance programs and activities
  • As a trusted advisor to leaders, you will build relationships and connectivity across all levels, geographies, and functional areas in our global firm.
  • Operate with an innovative and flexible mindset by continuously identifying ways to improve department practices to enhance consistency, efficiency, quality and/or value.

    Partner with Corporate Communications to:
    • Design and implement a holistic global communications plan that is aligned with internal audit's vision, mission, values, and strategy to bring about positive organizational changes that drive employee engagement
    • Develop and manage impactful global communications strategies with an emphasis on employee engagement and motivation
    • Optimize the use of digital and in-person communication channels
    • Craft executive communications in partnership with and on behalf of diverse global leaders
    • Act as a leader and role model to develop and promote a work place culture that values diversity of thought, promotes integrity and creates an atmosphere that supports coaching and fosters accountability; engage as a teammate across peer group while also operating within industry standard methodologies, applicable regulations, and internal and external professional practice expectations.
    • Generate insightful, meaningful observations that effectively convey significance and impact on risk and/or risk management practices.
    • Lead clear, crisp, formal discussions with business partners throughout the duration of projects or initiatives to communicate status or concerns.



      Qualifications

      Typical Qualifications

      Education and Certifications:
      • A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, or related business discipline, at an accredited College or University
      • HR Certifications preferred
      • Advanced degree preferred


        Skills and Experience:
        • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, Workforce Operations or Resource and Talent Management experience
        • Proven ability to lead and execute complex projects and deliverables
        • Proven track record in project management and coordination / integration efforts across multiple groups
        • Experience with the financial industry and related markets, related regulatory bodies, and current industry events and trends preferred
        • Knowledge and experience of global workforce management competencies (e.g., planning and budgeting exercises, recruiting and hiring efforts, onboarding and training programs, talent management, and retention and offboarding of resources) and global transformation projects
        • Strong critical thinking skills to identify pragmatic recommendations within an evolving and complex environment
        • Demonstrated proficiency in technology as required for assigned areas (Workday, MS Office, etc.)
        • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
        • Strong organizational and presentation skills
        • Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) and interpersonal skills.
        • Ability to communicate with all levels in the department
        • Attention to detail, adaptable and able to work with minimal supervision
