Job Description Job Description Overview These facilities run continuously. Robotics, conveyors, PLC-controlled systems, drives, and automated production equipment operate across multiple shifts. When equipment fails, production slows. When production slows, it costs money. We are seeking experienced Controls Technicians capable of independently troubleshooting PLC-driven automation inside live manufacturing environments. This is not maintenance support. This is automation troubleshooting in production. Responsibilities Troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms) Diagnose I/O faults, communications failures, and control system issues Support robotics, conveyors, HMIs, and automated production cells Trace ladder logic to isolate automation faults Execute production troubleshooting during live operations Document diagnostics and corrective actions clearly Required Experience 5 years in automation-heavy manufacturing Independent PLC troubleshooting experience Experience diagnosing automation faults in live production Multi-shift or continuous production exposure Working knowledge of industrial control systems, HMIs, and VFDs Work Environment Automation-heavy manufacturing facilities operating multiple shifts or continuous production schedules. Deployment locations vary based on project needs. Compensation $38–$50 per hour depending on PLC depth, troubleshooting capability, and production environment experience. Compensation aligned with experienced automation troubleshooters. Relevant Skills PLC troubleshooting, Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLC, ladder logic, automation diagnostics, industrial controls, I/O troubleshooting, HMI systems, VFD diagnostics, robotics support, manufacturing automation, production troubleshooting Technical Validation Candidates must demonstrate independent PLC troubleshooting capability prior to deployment.
