Job Description:

ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY Designs Company water systems; prepares cost
estimates, engineering specifications, work authorizations and
contracts; checks engineering drawings for accuracy of design and
dimensions; conducts tests of materials and equipment; makes field
surveys; works with Division Managers, developers and contractors
to insure that all water system construction conforms to Company
specifications; provides technical assistance and guidance to
Division Managers; performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Must be a college
graduate with a B.S. degree in engineering and have knowledge of
surveying techniques. EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of five
years' experience in water utility system design at a professional
level. Must be proficient in all phases of engineering analysis and
design; be able to interpret and prepare drawings, specifications,
contract documents; effectively represent the Company with
customers, government agencies, suppliers and contractors.
EQUIPMENT USED: Personal computer. Company vehicle. SKILLS,
KNOWLEDGE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Skills, knowledge and physical
requirements include, but are not limited to: Ability to
communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be able
to operate a personal computer and be proficient in Microsoft Word,
Excel and CAD software. Ability to organize, analyze, interpret,
and evaluate scientific engineering problems and provide practical,
cost-effective solutions. Measure distances using calibrated
instruments. Work cooperatively with others. A neat and
professional appearance. Must be dependable, punctual, and have
good attendance. Ability to perform repetitive physical activities
including walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, grasping,
stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to inspect all
construction sites and water system facilities. PROFESSIONAL OR
OTHER CERTIFICATION OR LICENSING: Must have a valid, appropriate
Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must be
a Registered Arizona Professional Engineer LI-CW1 LI-Onsite
