By joining Ames, you will be working with talented colleagues at an award-winning, nationally recognized top 75 general contractor..Key Duties and Responsibilities* Estimating, project control, scheduling, quantity tracking.* Support a team consisting of Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other staff.* Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, & workforce.* Review shop drawing, submittals and schedules, and process RFIs* Monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs.* Understand and assist with project layout.* Identify critical work items, and procure long-lead items.* Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders.* Manage document control including submittals schedules, contract documents, shop drawings, etc.* Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment.* Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce.* Maintaining as-built drawings & manuals.* Attend and/or lead meetings.* Other duties as assignedExperience, Education & Skills* 3 or more years of estimating or project management experience in the heavy industrial construction industry.* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience.* Be able to work in a team environment and be self-motivated.* Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivations skills.* Strong interpersonal skills to interface with owner representatives, engineering firms, subcontractors, other team members and senior management.* Proficiency in use of computer software applications including, MS Office, HCSS or similar estimating programs, Agtek or similar earthwork programs, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel.* Knowledgeable in Primavera.* Strong communication skills both written and oral.* Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize.* Time Management, multitasking, and prioritization.* Must have a valid Driver's License.Working Conditions* Construction Site Environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.* Office Environment - extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.* Expected salary range of $70,000-$110,000.Ames Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
