This role requires a deep understanding of network technologies, security protocols, and a strong ability to design, implement, and manage security measures to protect against cyber threats.As our Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and maintaining security measures and protocols necessary to protect our network infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. This includes network access control implementation and support, network device security, firewall maintenance, VPN remote access, along with IPSec tunnel creation and troubleshooting on the WAN/LAN and wireless networks. Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), VPNs, and other security devices.Ensure proper segmentation and isolation of network resources to minimize attack surface.Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.Implement access controls, user authentication, and authorization mechanisms. Manage access to network resources, including role-based access control (RBAC) and privilege management.Participate in network penetration testing efforts and review results; manage the implementation of corrective security action when appropriate.Keep network devices and security software up to date with the latest patches and updates. Test and apply patches in a controlled manner to minimize disruptions.Maintain detailed documentation of network security configurations and incidents.Participate in triaging all critical Incidents and Problems where the network is involved; act with an appropriate sense of urgency to ensure critical issues are resolved in accordance with applicable SLA's; collaborate with the Information Security team to address any incidents or events where network security may have been compromised.Working ConditionsThis work is performed in a general office/remote work environment and may require working outside of regularly scheduled hours when resolving service-impacting incidents. This role provides 24 X 7 on-call support as part of a rotation within the team.
