solutions for dental practices including Denticon Practice
Management, Apteryx XVWeb Digital Imaging, Cloud 9 Practice
Management (for Orthodontist practices) and Legwork Patient

role is hybrid working 1-2x per week out of one of our offices:
Akron, OH, Atlanta, GA, Phoenix, AZ, Newport Beach, CA or Seattle,
WA.OverviewPlanet DDS provides SaaS and mobile products for dental
offices and dental groups. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work to
build systems to run our SaaS applications. They will increase the
scalability, security, reliability, and operability of our product
lines.To be successful, the engineer will need to be
self-motivated, a critical thinker, be able to take high-level
direction, communicate clearly, gain consensus, and drive to
completion in a very fast paced environment. An engineer doesn't
shy away from learning something new or experimenting with

Responsibilities & Duties
Building and implementing new tools
and infrastructure across any one of the 3 cloud providers
Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to
engineering teamsWorking on ways to automate and improve
development and release processesPlan, Automate and Improve
development and release processesAutomate with tools to include AWS
or GCP Automation, PowerShell, CLI, Bicep, Terraform, Bash (Linux),
and othersWorking with software engineers and teams to produce
reliable and robust processesIdentifying technical problems and
supporting software updates and fixesProactively expose problems &
risks and develop solutionsTraining & mentoring for peers and less
experienced engineers Advocate for DevOps culture, automation, and
architectural & security standardsOptimize cost, performance,
scalability, and reliabilitySecurity configuration & security
hardeningProvide on call supportOther duties as
assignedQualifications
7+ years in hands on technical roles
(such as Cloud Engineer, DevOps engineer, Site Reliability
Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer)5+ years of cloud experience with
at least 3 years with AWS or GCP5+ years deploying and operating
web apps.Strong IaC and CaC backgroundExcellent Proficiency with
Git and GitHub workflowsStrong Kubernetes & Containerization
background supporting the adoption, build out, and maintenance in a
production environmentExcellent troubleshooting skillsStrong
collaboration and communication skillsBachelor's Degree in a
relevant major or equivalent years of experience Any of the
following would be a plus:Background with multiple cloud
providersCloud Networking experienceExperience with Linux, Helm,
Python, ActiveMQ, Mongo, PostgreSQLInstrumenting Observability
toolsets to support APM, Infrastructure and Logs visibilitySoftware
development experienceExperience working in B2B SaaS companiesAbout
