Job Description:

Selectek is seeking a Structural Engineer to help with the production of construction documents and engineering studies for advanced technology and industrial projects. In this role, it is important that the engineer understand current building codes, particularly IBC and local amendments and ASCE7. They will also need to be familiar with common structural materials (mostly steel) and material-specific codes such as ACI and AISC.
Responsibilities:

Design steel structural systems ranging from simple to complex for industrial and semiconductor facilities. Focus is equipment support and seismic design, including equipment anchorage, pipe/ductwork/conduit supports, access platform and stairway designs, and analysis of existing structures
Creation of construction documents, including drawings and specifications
Coordination with design team members in mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines
Participation in client design review meetings and presentation of design strategies
Preparation of specifications and reports

Required:

BS Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
7-20 years of Structural Engineering Design experience for advance technology facilities or industrial facilities
RISA Proficiency
PE

Pay Rate: $40-$60 per hour DOE
Term: 6 months temp to direct
Location: Phoenix, AZ area
WFH: Not full time, but they do offer a hybrid option for some employees.
Ideally, the client is looking for someone who has done work for semiconductor or other similar advanced technology manufacturing centers. They will look at someone with industrial experience, but an oil and gas background is ideal.
This role will be responsible for the design and implementation of process systems for semiconductor plants. Not only will someone do the engineering work for design, but they will work closely with general contractors and the end client to ensure the engineering process systems are implemented correctly. This is not just an office engineering job - someone will be at the site looking at the conditions and determining what needs to be done so that the process engineering work is handled correctly.
