Job Summary: A Project Engineer will use their technical skills to provide project support in order to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. In addition, this position will require the engineer to coordinate material deliveries, manage subcontractors, report daily production quantities and provide technical support as required for construction projects. The Project Engineer will work in conjunction with project managers and field superintendents to ensure a consistent workflow; as well as, work closely with estimators to provide material take-offs, subcontractor estimates. As a representative of our company, a Project Engineer will coordinate directly with the field superintendents to ensure the clients are well informed of the project status. Job Responsibilities: Administrative: Set up projects Understands plans/specifications Understands the Company Filing System Project Submittals Create Budgets Understand Municipal Specifications Complete Subcontractor Agreements Understands Cost CodesProject Support: Track materials quantities Attend Project meetings Prepare Time & Materials sheets Obtain Pre-construction photos Obtain Final photos Complete Daily Reports Complete Equipment Rental sheets Update Rental Log Prepare material Take Offs Order materials Coordinate Subcontractors/Suppliers Draft meeting minutes Prepare Submittals Update Submittal logs Prepare three-week schedules Prepare Quality Control reports Interpret local and state building codes Obtain project documents Obtain project specific details Prepare As-Builts Prepare Dust Control logEstimating: Prepare material Take Offs Prepare concrete Take Offs Understand the plans Obtain Subcontractor quotes Attend Pre-bid meetings Attend site visits Set up Project on Bid2Win Turn in bidding documents Qualifications: Prefer bilingual-English/Spanish Eager to learn, immensely curious, full of questions, and ready to get their hands dirty Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs A team player, ready and willing to take on whatever challenge is offered. Knowledge of safety requirements as determined by OSHA to ensure the safety of the construction project Has or is willing to obtain MSHA and OSHA-10 and/or other necessary industry training. Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently. 2+ years' experience in a construction environment Must be detail oriented, analytical and able to work well with others.
