Supplier Quality Engineer-Electronics
This facility produces ultrasound systems for medical application
Required skill set Strong in Electronics such as printed circuit boards, cables, flex circuits

Work Shift:
8 to 5 but may need to attend some early morning or late evening calls

Description:
The Supplier Management Engineer is responsible for driving exceptional product quality for the patient, customer value beyond expectations, regulatory assurance and optimized Cost of Quality for ***. This is a key technical leadership position, affecting part quality for both installed base and NPI parts.

Key Responsibilities:
Ownership of supplier compliance to all elements of purchasing and controls, supplier performance and product specifications at site
Partner with assigned High Level Assembly (HLA) supplier to identify and execute strategic and tactical development needs in Design, Quality system, Manufacturing processes and mistake proofing both at HLA supplier and sub suppliers.
Influence supplier selection and conduct supplier assessments and qualification audits and process reviews.
Assure supplier compliance to Company, QMS and regulatory requirements through supplier monitoring process. Initiate Supplier Corrective Actions and Quality Improvement Plans for underperforming suppliers. Drive a culture of root cause analysis.
Develop positive relationships and work closely with Supplier Management, Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing and assigned suppliers to manage and implement supplier/Engineering changes, New Product Introductions, transfers and mitigate fulfilment risks
Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Service, Manufacturing and Sourcing to drive Quality improvements that minimize Costs of Quality, specifically Failed on Arrival/Install (FOA/FOI) issues, Field Failures and Factory defects.
Demonstrated ability to challenge status Quo, lead, develop, communicate & implement a strategy to ensure compliance.
This is an individual contributor role that works independently with little supervision with suppliers and Client Healthcare global sites
Working closely with global and region Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), Engineering and assigned suppliers to leverage supplier process improvement and material cost productivity opportunities. Interface with all areas affected by the project, ensuring successful integration of all project work products

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the Company, Quality Management System, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
3. Knowledge and understanding of Company Purchasing Controls Procedure, Quality regulations and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements
4. Ensure a compliant and qualified supply base by conducting supplier evaluations.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial etc.).
2. At least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Quality assurance involving Electronics systems or components

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Medical experience desirable.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence others to drive change both cross functionally and globally.
3. Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships
4. Proven ability to work independently with little supervision and execute and deliver on commitments with very high "Say to Do ratio without any follow up
5. Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
6. Experience in circuit board manufacturing and qualification
7. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. Six Sigma and Lean trained
8. Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization around concepts of design controls, design verification and validation activities; production and process controls; Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA), and product quality improvement using tools such as Six Sigma.
9. Excellent oral communication & report, business correspondence.
10. Fluent in English
