Job Description:
Summary:The Senior Software Quality Engineer will be responsible
for ensuring the quality of Pearson/MZD platforms through strong
automation implemented solutions and manual testing efforts as well
as tracking the status of issues reported on Pearson/MZD
products.This requisition is part of the Pearson/MZD team, which
develops innovative assessment technology platforms. One of the
team's primary responsibilities is supporting multiple technology
platforms that deliver exams to test takers, score and report
results. We are currently engaged in building our next generation
assessment platform, which is a multi-year project with enormous
strategic value, leveraging state of the art technologies and
processes. We are looking for outstanding candidates to bolster the
staff of this critical project.A Leader passionate in technology
primarily responsible for establishing frameworks that enable
automation aspects of functional and nonfunctional testing and able
to train juniors while providing leadership in testing, requirement
analysis and design to help identify issues that could compromise
quality.LOCATION: REMOTE - USWe are looking for a leader... Avid in

Responsibilities Plan and drive all aspects of quality within the
team. Conduct functional testing on UI, API components with
industry recognized tools & frameworks I.e., Selenium, SoapUI, Rest
Assured...etc. Mentor team members and thereby help improve the
overall quality engineering competence and efficiency index. Review
Test Designs & Test Automation practices to ensure standards.
Improve efficiency of testing activities working closely with
Development leads, Architects by understanding the designs and
architecture of the application. Own & create Test Repositories,
Artifacts and collaborate with assignees in maintaining standards.
Make a positive impact on the organizations Quality Engineering
practices through innovative ideas, concepts & driving them to a
substantial point of adaption. Assist Application Developers and
technical support staff in identifying and resolving defects
Participate in large, complex system implementation projects; and
provide technical leadership to QA and Dev teams Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software
Engineering, or related engineering and technical field, or foreign
equivalent; and 7 years of IT/quality assurance work experience,
including 5 years in Quality Engineering with a thorough knowledge
of software development life cycle principles and quality assurance
processes and methodologies, as well as 3 years of hands-on
experience with automated test tools 5 Years of Hands-on experience
in the creation of Test Strategy, Test Plan, and Test Summary
Reports 5 Years of Hands-on experience in Test Automation 5 years
of Hands-on experience in developing automation workflows via tools
such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc. 5 years of Understanding of
software skills such as business analysis, development,
maintenance, and software improvement Experience in Version
control/Source control management tools like Bitbucket, GitHub As
required by theColorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson
provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that
may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a
wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level
of experience, and specific office location. For the state of
Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $90k -
$110k . This position is eligible to participate in an annual
