The Security Engineer is responsible for the implementation,
operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of TGen's information
technology security infrastructure.What you'll be
doing:Implementing, and monitoring technical security controls in
support of TGen policy in support of regulatory compliance
mandates. Administering, configuring, and monitoring
network-related security appliances Administering, configuring, and
monitoring host-based security infrastructure Providing 3rd-tier
escalation and support to Systems Engineers, Network
Administrators, and Helpdesk staff. Monitoring, responding to, and
resolving system alerts, helpdesk tickets, and other issues
involving network and security administration and associated
services. The individual will be required to respond to and resolve
problems that occur outside the traditional workday. Assisting in
the design, configuration, testing, tuning, and optimization of new
and existing security infrastructure, operating system
environments, and application environments to include Open Source,
Commercial, and internally developed applications. Researching
current and emerging technologies as they pertain to TGen's
enterprise computing infrastructure. This includes reviewing and
understanding network and security system configuration and
products, reading trade journals, association with professional
organizations, and attending technical conferences and training

Requirements:
Requirements5+ years experience in firewall administration and a
sound understanding of network routers and switchesExperience
working with Cisco products, Microsoft products, and
LinuxFamiliarity with advanced networking and security concepts.
Previous information security or network engineering experience is
required.Experience in the design, operation, and administration of
Cisco networking and security equipment in a medium-sized
enterprise falling under one of the following regulatory
frameworks: HIPAA/HITECH, FISMA, or PCI. An understanding of
security architecture, including integration of Cisco, Microsoft
Active Directory, and Linux environments is highly preferred.
(ISC)-2, GIAC, SANS, and Cisco Certifications are preferred but not
required. An understanding of Security Frameworks such as NIST SP
800-53, ISO 27001:2005, Common Criteria, or PCI-DSS is preferred.
Scripting and/or programming experience is desirable.
Certifications such as an MCSE are desirable, but not required.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to HIPAA and FISMA
is highly desirable. An understanding of industry-standard security
frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001:2005, Common Criteria,
