Outstanding opportunity for a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer with
Gas Turbine experience interested in joining the Commercial Engines
and APU Turbines team. This position requires supporting
aerodynamic design, analysis and test validation of High Pressure
and Low Pressure Turbine.
This position requires an individual with prior experience to
support the following tasks:
Engineering tasks associated with the aerodynamic design and
analysis of axial & radial Turbine blades and vanes with and
without internal cooling.
Experience in Turbine aerodynamic design on new product development
and support existing products.
Advanced understanding of aerodynamic design of turbomachinery,
fluid dynamics and with applied CFD knowledge of Turbine
aerodynamic CFD codes (i.e. Fine Turbo, StarCCM+, etc.)
Proficient 1D and 2D Aerodynamic analysis skills.
Experienced in analytical aerodynamic methods and tool
development.
Supports new and innovative concepts to develop Turbine aerodynamic
components.
Focuses aerodynamic design and analysis efforts on continuous
improvement through lessons learned, best practices, and
comparative benchmarking.
Supports turbine aero rigs, selecting instrumentation, creating
test plan and running tests to validate aerodynamic designs.
Experience working with cross-functional technical teams, project
engineers, Product chiefs and global resources to support currently
fielded products and new product development.
Contributes to continuous process improvement projects within the
organization.
Perform risk assessment and abatement, problem solving with root
cause analysis, decision making.
Communicates technical results to internal and external
customers.

Bachelors Degree in Engineering
