employees to begin 8/1/2023
Director of Student Support Pre-1st-12th
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational background and/or professional experience in
counseling and neuroscience, including expertise in psychometrics
and psychoeducational testing
- Deep fluency in the culture of high achieving K-12 schools
- An understanding of risk and legal issues as they relate to
student support
- Knowledge of and commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion,
and Belonging practices as part of the mental, cognitive, and
emotional development of a child
OPPORTUNITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Articulate a vision and a strategy grounded in neuroscience
that unlocks learning potential and nurtures the health and
well-being of all student's pre-1st through 12th grade.
- Lead and support cross-divisional teams to achieve vision and
implement strategy
- Present to and connect with a variety of community
stakeholders, including parents, alumni, and outside partners
- Contribute to the larger school community through sponsoring
extracurricular programs, clubs and/or coaching sports.
Middle School Orchestra Director
The Middle School Orchestra Director reports to the Head of the
Middle School, is supported and guided by the Director of
Performing Arts as part of a cross-divisional team of Performing
Arts Faculty that works together to develop curriculum, assessment,
and programming.
Anticipated start date: August 1, 2023
Supervisor: Head of the Middle School
Position Status: This position is a salaried, exempt, full-time,
regular, 10-month position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant undergraduate degree: advanced degree with emphasis on
string music education preferred
- Proficiency with music technology
- Familiarity with national trends in music education, including
curriculum planning, interdisciplinary studies, and assessment
initiatives.
- Experience with a co-teaching/co-directing model preferred
OPPORTUNITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach a Middle School beginning strings class
- Serve as an advisor to students
- Serve as lead teacher for the Middle School orchestra (level
1.5-4)
- Teach sectionals for the High School Orchestra (level 5-6),
coach upper-level Chamber Music, and teach in the Elementary School
Orchestra Program (grades 3-5, levels .5-1.5).
In addition to experience and educational background, top
candidates demonstrate a love of working with Middle School
students, an engaging teaching style, the ability to interact well
with parents and colleagues, and a willingness to create and
promote an inclusive learning environment.
Upper School Computer Science
Anticipated start date: August 1, 2023
Supervisor: Head of the Upper School
Position Status: This position is a salaried, exempt, full-time or
part-time, regular, 10-month position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degrees or formal training in Computer Science. Master's Degree
and/or professional or practical experience in a relevant field
preferred
- Two years of Upper School teaching experience preferred but not
required
OPPORTUNITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach 4 sections of Computer Science. Interest and ability to
teach other disciplines including Engineering, Math, and/or Science
preferred but not required.
- Co-teach a 3-week immersive, interdisciplinary class during Jan
Term
- Work directly with other Upper School Computer Science teachers
as part of a Computer Science Professional Learning Community
- Advise students as part of the Upper School Advisory
Program
- Contribute to the larger school community through coaching or
sponsoring other extracurricular programs. Depending on candidate
expertise, responsibilities may include robotics, Science Olympiad,
or other relevant extracurriculars.

Upper School English Teacher

Supervisor: Head of the Upper School
Position Status: This position is a salaried, exempt, full-time,
regular, 10-month position.
The English department seeks a candidate who models habits of
curiosity, imagination, and compassion and demonstrates a rich
background in literature, composition, and the humanities. Flexible
and open to new approaches and opportunities, the right-fit
candidate defines teaching as a collaborative pursuit that includes
work with colleagues to solve problems, to explore new
technologies, to review curricula, and to enhance student learning.
Eligible candidates have demonstrated success with student-led
discussion techniques such as the Harkness method. Likewise, top
candidates have experience with writing instruction rooted in
process, which prioritizes revision as a core practice to encourage
in students.
Qualifications
- Relevant undergraduate degree; advanced degree in field
preferred
- At least two years of teaching experience preferred
Opportunities & Responsibilities

an English PLC to develop curriculum and assessments

- Advise students as part of the Upper School Advisory
Program
- Provide regular assistance to students in the Upper School
Writing Center
- Contribute to the larger school community through coaching or
sponsoring other extracurricular programs. Depending on candidate
expertise, responsibilities may include working with student
publications.

Qualifications
- Native or near native language proficiency in French and/or
Spanish
- Ability to conduct classes in the target language
- Proficiency with instructional technology
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach 4 sections of Spanish and/or French classes
- Co-teach a 3-week immersive, interdisciplinary class during Jan
Term
- Work directly with 13 other Upper School language teachers as
part of a language PLC
- Advise students as part of the Upper School Advisory
Program
- Contribute to the larger school community through coaching or
sponsoring other extracurricular programs
- Other duties as assigned
