Job Description Job Description The Goldwater Institute is looking for a Litigator to join our team. The attorney will litigate a wide range of cases, including under state constitutions, in an effort to protect individual rights and advance constitutionally limited government. To qualify for this position, the attorney must have two or more years of litigation experience, including preferably some appellate or clerkship experience. Attorneys with more significant litigation experience are also encouraged to apply. The Litigator must exhibit strong written and verbal advocacy skills, have first-chair experience in evidentiary hearings and depositions, and have a collegial attitude. Responsibilities Develop, lead and second-chair cases Provide litigation support Write articles and engage in media outlets Assist as a team player in Institute functions and activities Minimum Requirements Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active member of the Arizona State Bar At least two years litigation experience, including first-chair experience in evidentiary hearings, depositions, and preferably some appellate experience Strong written and verbal advocacy skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Understand and embrace the Institute’s mission and public policy objectives Collegial attitude, strong work ethic, and sense of humor To Apply Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, writing sample and salary expectations to kday@goldwaterinstitute.org.
