Evaluate and analyze workers? compensation insurance applications to determine risk classifications according to company standards. Establish premium rates and create insurance plans that meet both client needs and company guidelines. Maintain and build relationships with agents and brokers to ensure smooth operational processes and customer satisfaction. Conduct detailed portfolio reviews and audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Collaborate with other underwriting teams and departments within the company to enhance overall risk assessment procedures and underwriting techniques. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development within the team. Stay updated on industry changes, technology advancements, and legislative impacts on workers' compensation practices. Advanced knowledge of underwriting principles and workers? compensation insurance. Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Robust interpersonal and communication skills, capable of explaining complex information clearly and influencing others. Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
