We are seeking a Property Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Finance team. You will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our property portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial success. Responsibilities: As a Property Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 1. Managing all aspects of property accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. 2. Utilizing Yardi software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. 3. Assisting with preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and variance reports. 4. Assist with monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger (GL) accounts. 5. Assisting with annual audits and tax returns by providing necessary financial information. 6. Collaborating with property managers to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues. 7. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and company policies. 8. Assist and participate in financial planning and strategy discussions, contributing valuable insights and recommendations. 9. Continually seeking ways to improve accounting processes and financial performance. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in property accounting. 2. Proficiency in Yardi software and general ledger (GL) accounting. 3. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is a plus. 4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. 5. Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. 6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 9. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements. 10. A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
