Project Accountant to join our team. You will work on some of our
more strategic, high-profile accounts while working closely with
our Project Managers and Project Engineers to monitor the progress
of projects, investigate variances, coordinate compliance
documents, and ensure project billings are issued and payments are
collected in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesContracts/New
Projects:Set up new projects and ensure adherence to all
contractual requirementsProcess and verify budgetsOrder and track
compliance documents (insurance, bonds, lien waivers)Support and
work closely with Operations regarding contracts, changes, job cost
transfers, and any additional services-related to
financialsMaintain project's financial structure and ensures
company policies and procedures are adhered toAssist PMs for Month
End and WIP preparationsSubcontracts/Change Orders:Issue
Subcontractor documentation in accordance with contractsMonitor,
process, and issue change ordersProcess Subcontractor AP
billingsManage Subcontract compliance, insurance, lien waivers,
retention, and W-9Research and resolve any Subcontractor billing
issuesAccounts Receivable:Compile, prepare, and submit monthly
project billings per contract requirementsComplete monthly
Work-In-Process (WIP) review to analyze and monitor project
profitability, percent complete and billing/payment statusManage
owner and subcontractors' schedules of valuesResearch and resolve
billing and/or payment discrepanciesIdentifies and resolves
project-related accounting issuesAssess and pursue opportunities
for maximization of client billingPerform additional assignments,
as neededQualificationsAccounting experience, with at least 5 years
of solid project accountant experienceExperience with Spectrum
Software a plusExperience in construction accountingKnowledge of
the project structure in a General Contractor/Subcontractor
business environmentAbility to work well with others under
deadlines and respond to changes in prioritiesStrong communication
and interpersonal skills a plusStrong problem-solving and analysis
skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong
service orientationProficient with MSFT Office
ApplicationsEducation/CertificationsBachelor's Degree in
Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred or
