Job Description:About this TeamConsumer AML Operations (CAML
Ops) provides anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act
(BSA) operational support for Consumer and Small Business
(C&SB) with some services extending across multiple lines of
business. Functions are supported to ensure the appropriate
completion of critical customer due diligence for AML processes
including customer data repair, centralized Refresh of customer due
diligence data elements, exiting of customer relationships due to
AML reasons, regulatory reporting of cash received in the U.S.
including cash aggregation and currency transaction reporting
exemption records as required by the BSA. Position SummaryThe
Consumer AML Operations Business Control Manager will be focused on
applying risk management and governance subject matter expertise
across the portfolio to support a culture of risk identification,
escalation and timely mitigation of compliance and operational
risks. The role requires collaboration with executive leadership,
process owners, C&SB AML partners, GFC/GC&OR, and
technology teams to support internal audits, regulatory exams,
issues management, Business Controls team guidance, escalation and
reporting of concerns impacting operations, and adherence to the
Financial Crimes Global and Consumer & Small Business Financial
Crimes Standards.Responsibilities:
- 7 years of experience related to Operational Risk, Compliance,
Risk Management, Audit, Business Controls
- Supporting the management of the GCAOO Business Controls team
aligned to Consumer AML Operations.
- Ensuring transparency and consistency of audit/exam
communications, providing oversight and guidance on the quality of
responses, and ensuring adherence to enterprise-wide
requirements.
- Developing and managing strong relationships with the CAML Ops
Process Owners, C&SB AML, GC&OR and control partners,
ensuring partnership on exams, inquiries, and other regulatory
matters.
- Working with Reg Relations and Audit teams during supervision
engagement activities including exams, meetings, and ad-hoc
inquiries.
- Providing guidance for all aspects of audit/exam deliverables
to ensure consistent practices, successful execution, and reduction
of risk exposure for the company. This includes being responsive to
inquiries, aiding with preparation of responses, and reporting and
escalation.
- Continuously assessing and enhancing the Business Controls
coverage model and processes, improving the quality and execution
of routines, and identifying new approaches to improve
effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Identifying, assessing, and communicating emerging issues,
themes and trends based on various information gathering
methodologies and sources.Requirements:
- Proficient in audit methodologies, including a strong
understanding of risk assessments and control effectiveness
- Ability to design and modify controls in relation to changes to
technology, risk direction, audit direction, and/or regulatory
law
- Possesses deep knowledge of risk management approach,
processes, tools, and routines; ability to effectively identify,
debate and escalate risk
- Strong relationship management skills to navigate the
complexities of aligning stakeholders, building consensus, and
resolving conflicts within an organization; proven ability to
influence peers/stakeholders and senior leaders across various
lines of business
- Ability to coordinate and drive execution of priorities and
meet deadlines to adhere with policies and standards
- Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions,
knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act
independently
- Proven critical thinking skills
- Superior verbal and written communications skills, including
the ability to synthesize complex information to distill and
deliver a concise, salient message suitable to any audience from
LOB employees to senior executives and auditors.Other
