Job Description:
Financial Aid Specialist- Responsibilities:
Bilingual is a must!
Knowledge of TADS database
Applying changes/updates to families when needed
Communications skill - explaining invoices to families
Contacts of all STO coordinators
Help all and any families (entering HS) with myTADS.com
Knowledge and familiarity with STO's programs and websites
Knowledge of forms needed and where to locate them
Management of all STO payments and applying them to the correct
student
Work with Financial Coordinator on refunded STO credits when
students become fully funded
Manage all family accounts in TADS and make adjustments when
needed
Maintain all record retention to Diocesan policy requirements
Knowledge of all scholarships and how to apply for more
Knowledge of reconciliation process, round 3 with CE, and how to
work the spreadsheet to redirect funds to others
Maintain a monthly past due, collections log with all documentation
each month
Build and manage each family's financial agreement
Run summary or custom reports when required.

Financial Aid Coordinator Job Description
- Position Title: Financial Aid Coordinator Department: Catholic
Schools
Grade:
Supervisor: Principal or Designee
- PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Under the supervision of the Principal, the
Financial Aid Coordinator is a person of faith who strives to
achieve goals of Catholic Education; maintains detailed and
accurate records as required by the school; establishes positive
school-community relationships; continued professional development
to remain current with religious and professional certifications
when necessary; performs any other job-related tasks deemed
necessary and/or assigned by the Principal.
III. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assumes responsibility for the leadership and management of the
following:
TADS database
- introduces changes/updates to families when needed
- explains invoice to families
- assists families in applying to myTADS.com including children
moving to High School
- manages family billing accounts and making adjustments when
needed
- maintain weekly past due collections log with all
documentation
- build and manage family financial agreements Student Tuition
Organizations "STO's"
- STO contacts
- searching for more STO opportunities
- familiarity with STO websites
- STO forms and where to locate
- management of payments and application to student
- work with accounts payable/receivable to refund credits when
students become fully funded.
- record retention as to pertains to Diocesion policy
- managing the redirection of funds to CEA reconciliation process
Establishes positive school-community relationships:
- maintains cooperative relations with all in the school
community
- promotes respectful and positive school relationships
- maintains awareness of his/her role as a Catholic Schools
employee and its impact on the community.
- provides for regular conferences and meetings with parents
- cooperates with and helps promote various curricular and
co-curricular programs within the school
- attends and actively participates in school faculty meetings
and in-services. Continues professional development to remain
current with religious and professional certifications:
- participates in professional activities and joins appropriate
professional organizations.

- attends and actively participates in school faculty meetings

- actively participates in the process of continuous school
improvements.
- maintains personal professional development record Performs any
other job-related task deemed necessary and /or assigned by the
Principal.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- must demonstrate personal and self-discipline, be adaptable and
flexible in routine and unexpected situations
- must use good judgment in daily encounters
- must use verbal and written language correctly
- must demonstrate an appropriate sense of humor
- must maintain appropriate grooming and dress at all times as
stated in the faculty handbook. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Must be willing to make a public profession of Faith if Catholic
and if non-Catholic willing to support Catholic teachings and
philosophy.
- Bilingual - English / Spanish
- received safe environment training and signed the code of
conduct
- FBI fingerprint clearance completed
